Residential Activity


Residential sales activity in Newfoundland and Labrador rose in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.

Residential property sales numbered 1,710 units in the fourth quarter of 2024, accelerating 20.4% compared to the same quarter in 2023.

Single detached home sales rose by 21.2%, while sales of multi-family units were up 17.2% in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Annually, residential property sales numbered 5,686 units in all of 2024. This was up 6.1% compared to the 5,360 units recorded in 2023.
