Chilliwack Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Chilliwack was 7.2% as of February 2026, unchanged from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 2.9% below the peak in June 2020 but remains above the long-run average.
There were 1,100 fewer full-time jobs in February 2026 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a loss of 200 part-time positions, this led to a decrease of 1,300 total jobs in February.
Full-time employment was down 5,900 jobs from the peak in December 2023 but stood 1,800 jobs above the trough in December 2024.
