“Mississauga’s market saw a slight year-over-year increase in sales in August, up 2.8%, but activity remained historically low compared with previous years dating back to 1994,” said Bill Duce, CEO of Cornerstone. “At the same time, new listings declined 15.6% year-over-year, and active listings were also down, suggesting overall supply levels may have stabilized for the time being. Even with that shift, buyers continue to have more choice than in more active market periods, while prices remain under pressure, with the average sale price down 7.2% year-over-year and the Home Price Index down 5.5%. This points to a cautious market where buyers and sellers are taking their time. Mississauga Area Highlights:

• Home sales in Mississauga increased by 12, or 2.8%, compared with August 2025.

• The number of new listings decreased by 15.6% year-over-year.

• The Mississauga Home Price Index (HPI) was $913,300 in August 2026, down 1.2% month-over-month and 5.5% year-over-year.

• The total months of inventory numbered 5.4 months at the end of July 2026, down from 6.1 months at the end of August 2025 and above the long-run average of 2.8 months for this time of year.
