Residential sales activity in Edmonton rose in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
Residential property sales numbered 6,273 units in the fourth quarter of 2024, accelerating 24.3% compared to the same quarter in 2023. This was the highest number of residential sales ever recorded in a fourth quarter.
Sales rose 25.6% for single detached homes, were up 23.5% for townhouse and row units, and were up 20.2% for apartment units compared to a year earlier in the fourth quarter.
Annually, residential property sales numbered 30,868 units in all of 2024. This was up 24.8% compared to the 24,726 units recorded in 2023. This was the highest number of annual residential sales ever recorded.
