Kamloops Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Kamloops was 3.8% as of February 2026, down 1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 10.4% below the peak from April 2020 and is below the long-run average.
There were 1,000 more full-time jobs in February 2026 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a loss of 200 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 800 total jobs in February.
Full-time employment was down 19,500 jobs from the peak in April 2025 but stood 2,900 jobs above the trough in November 2025.
