Kamloops Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Kamloops was 10.3% as of August 2025, down 0.4% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 3.9% below the peak from April 2020 but remains above the long-run average.
There were 3,400 fewer full-time jobs in August 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a gain of 900 part-time positions, this led to a decrease of 2,500 total jobs in August.
Full-time employment was still down 18,800 jobs from the peak in April 2025.
