Kamloops Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Kamloops was 10.7% as of July 2025, up 1.5% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 3.5% below the peak from April 2020 but remains above the long-run average.
There were 6,500 fewer full-time jobs in July 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a gain of 800 part-time positions, this led to a decrease of 5,700 total jobs in July.
Full-time employment was still down 15,100 jobs from the peak in April 2025.
