Kamloops Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Kamloops was 7.5% as of December 2025, down 1.3% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 6.7% below the peak from April 2020 but remains above the long-run average.
There were 1,200 more full-time jobs in December 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a loss of 300 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 900 total jobs in December.
Full-time employment was down 21,600 jobs from the peak in April 2025 but stood 1,200 jobs above the trough in November 2025.
