The unemployment rate in Regina was 5.2% as of April 2025, down 0.7% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 6.4% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.
There were 1,800 more full-time jobs in April 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a loss of 500 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 1,300 total jobs in April.
Full-time employment has recovered since reaching a bottom in June 2024 and now stands at a record high.

The unemployment rate in Saskatoon was 4.9% as of April 2025, up 0.1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 8.9% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.
There were 200 fewer full-time jobs in April 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a gain of 1,200 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 1,000 total jobs in April.
Full-time employment was still down 5,000 jobs from the peak in December 2024.
